Summary:

Kingsbury House is a single-dweller residential development in the Jua Kali area in Laikipia County minutes from Nanyuki Town. The client’s vision was a simple cosy home with aspects of a safari style infused into the home perched on the highest point on a plot of land facing Mt. Kenya. 

The heart of the home is the inviting living space, designed to greet guests from the moment they arrive. This cozy lounge, adorned with comfortable seating and soft lighting, offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. It seamlessly flows into an outdoor area that opens up to breathtaking views of the lush yard and the majestic Mt. Kenya beyond, creating a perfect setting for relaxation and connection with nature.

Internally, the design of the home was thoughtfully created to be as open and welcoming as possible, ensuring that individuals with physical disabilities can move around comfortably and freely, just as the client envisioned.

This project design process incorporated the use of AI to quickly review a myriad of design options that the client could review and pick the parts they liked. 

With a fixed budget, the design process aimed at a memorable home never losing sight of the clients through continuous review of both design and cost estimates.
